When the original site plan was created, there were three extra lots not assigned to builders. It was clear that given the prominence of these lots that special attention needed to be given. As homeowners and visitors arrive at Lochlyn Hill, these are the first homes that one sees. Further, their yards are fully integrated into the community park. Front steps can end precisely on the park itself which creates a need for architectural sensitivity.
Peak Builders was the first to receive approval from the architectural review to build on one of the park lots. The home built is a classic Charleston side load house with a double porch. The lot’s topography allowed a garage to be placed inside the footprint, and in a basement location. This allows for a more spacious home above, and the owners have taken advantage of that with more than 3,300 s.f. and four bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bath.
