What's special about this neighborhood?
Lochlyn Hill is the largest undeveloped parcel left in the City and it’s strategically located between the golf course and Meadowcreek, on both the Rivanna Trail and the soon-to-be-built Meadowcreek Greenway that will connect Pen Park to McIntire Park and Downtown. As a result, we’ve set very high standards for the character and quality of Lochlyn Hill. We spent 12 years assembling the right properties and developing a master plan that is an expression of these standards. We’ve now recruited a group of exceptional local builders to help us make Lochlyn Hill a reality.
Our goal is to authentically and organically build a great neighborhood.
Lot sizes?
Lot sizes will vary widely but the compact, pedestrian friendly design offers homeowners smaller lots with less maintenance and more quality common areas for recreation and community engagement.
Is there be a homeowner's association?
Yes, the Lochlyn Hill Owner’s Association has been formed and all property in Lochlyn Hill will be part of the association. The association will maintain neighborhood amenities and common areas, contract for trash collection, plow private alleys and enforce the architectural and other regulations governing the properties within Lochlyn Hill. What amenities will be in and around Lochlyn Hill?
Lochlyn Hill is organized around a central park that will provide areas for active and passive recreation, entertaining and relaxation. Among the planned amenities are a park shelter, fire pit, playground, and community gardens. Early residents in Lochlyn Hill are invited to participate in the final selection and design process for the central park amenities. In addition to the central Lochlyn Hill Park, the neighborhood will include a greenway park and trail along Meadowcreek. The trail will accommodate pedestrians and cyclists and provide connections to both the Rivanna Trails System and the City’s greenway system. Charlottesville High School and the Meadowcreek Parkway trail will all be accessible by natural trails. A series of smaller pocket parks are also strategically located within the Lochlyn Hill neighborhood and it has over a mile of frontage on Pen Park and the Meadowcreek Golf Course, more than any other neighborhood in the City or County. In fact, 65% of the homes in Lochlyn Hill will border park or green space.
